  1. Joe Walsh Announces Fall Solo Tour

Posted Jul 27 2015 by User 11 Comments

Joe Walsh will launch his Fall solo tour in Ohio, concluding the string of dates in Boston at the Orpheum on October 17th. In addition to Ohio and Ontario, the tour will see Walsh primarily on the eastern seaboard, with dates in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

This tour will reunite Joe with one of his Barnstorm band members, keyboardist and drummer Joe Vitale. Additionally Walsh will be supported with band members Gannin Arnold on guitar, Tommy Simms on bass and Drew Hester on drums.

Joe will be performing hits from throughout his career, ranging from the James Gang to his Barnstorm days, to the Eagles and his solo records right through to 2012’s ANALOG MAN, and some surprises:

“I’m going back in the catalog to dig out some songs that I haven’t ever played live, but everything everyone’s coming to hear will also be in the show,” Joe said. “I've got a great band and I’m excited to play with my old friend Joe Vitale again. I also love being able to go into smaller venues. I’ve missed it…The interaction with the audience is much better, everybody has a good seat and it reminds me of the old days. I think I play my best in a small venue when the bass drums are kicking me in the pants. I'm really looking forward to it all.”

Tickets for the Fall solo tour go on sale to the general public starting this Friday, July 31, but Joe Walsh Fan Club members will get a first shot at tickets. Starting Wednesday, July 29 at 10am local venue time, Members will have access to an exclusive pre-sale. Fan Club members should watch their emails for details. Not a member? 2. Eagles To Receive 38th Annual...

America to Celebrate Honorees' Lifetime Artistic Achievements Sunday, December 6, 2015

The Honors Gala will be broadcast on CBS on December 29, 2015 at 9:00p.m., ET/PT.

The Kennedy Center announced the selection of the six Honorees who will receive the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors. Recipients to be honored at the 38th annual national celebration of the arts are: American rock band the Eagles, singer-songwriter Carole King, filmmaker George Lucas, actress and singer Rita Moreno, conductor Seiji Ozawa, and actress and Broadway star Cicely Tyson.

"Quite simply," said Kennedy Center Chairman David M. Rubenstein, "our Honorees represent the voices, soundtracks, and stories of our personal lives and memories."

"When I look at this year's outstanding slate of Honorees, I am struck by a powerful common theme-artists as history-makers, artists who defy both convention and category," commented Kennedy Center President Deborah F. Rutter.

In a star-studded celebration on the Kennedy Center Opera House stage, produced by Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss of White Cherry Entertainment, the 2015 Honorees will be saluted by today's leading performers from New York, Hollywood, and the arts capitals of the world. Seated with the President of the United States and Mrs. Obama, the Honorees will accept the thanks of their peers through performances and tributes.

"We are deeply grateful to have been named a Kennedy Center honoree. The members of the Eagles hail from different regions of this great nation and we feel very fortunate that our music has been embraced by people from all walks of life, all over the world. Popular music is one of America's greatest exports – a bridge that spans geographical and cultural boundaries. We are truly humbled to have been able to be a part of this global connection. Many thanks to our fans, our fellow artists and the Kennedy Center for this recognition.”
